The panto Aladdin in 2008 and Cinderella in 2009 were both a great success for the Springline Amateur Dramatic Society with capacity audiences and excellent reviews. This year’s panto looks to be equally exciting with our very own version of Treasure Island. Auditions Saturday, 6th June 2009 at St Amand’s School, East Hendred from 3 to 6 pm. There will be 5 performances of Treasure Island from Wednesday through to Saturday with an additional matinee performance and so there will be two ensemble casts of young people that play at alternative performances. Minimum age for auditions is 8 years in September 2009. There is no upper age limit. All actors will need to be a member of Springline and young people under 18 years will have to have signed approval from their parent/guardian. Before your audition Please make sure that you are available for rehearsals from Sunday 27th September through October, November, and December – mainly Tuesday evenings from 8 to 10 pm for adults and Sunday afternoons from 3 to 6 pm for young people and adult cast members. Rehearsals will be for adults only for the first 6 weeks with young children commencing in the Autumn. The rehearsals will become more intensive two weeks prior to opening night so please make sure that you are available to attend all rehearsals called. All rehearsals and all performances will be held at Snells Hall, East Hendred although we may need to move specific weekend rehearsals to St Amands School, East Hendred to accommodate any weekend users of Snells Hall. Crew – behind the scenes Any successful show is only as good as the people back stage and front of house. Over the last two years we have been fortunate in bringing the best people together BUT we need more support and need your help. If you would like to get involved in costume and set design, front of house, technical and administrative support and want to have the best time of your life – then please visit with us on Saturday, 6th June and tells us how you might be able to help.
